A Beautiful Retreat For Your Guests!

Source
Summer is upon us and so are the summer-time festivities such as weddings and graduation parties. Creating a beautiful and cozy retreat for your overnight guests will make them feel extra special. Below are a few tips that will have your visitors feeling right at home. The only downfall...they may never want to leave. {smile}

1. Comfortable linens are a must! It's time to put out your best comforter or duvet.
2. Have plenty of pillows.
3. Seating. If you don't have a closet available, guests will appreciate a chair to put their clothes out. It can also serve as a place to put their luggage.
4. Fresh water. Offer to fill it before they turn in.
5. Fresh flowers (very welcoming).
6. Reading material by the bed. Crossword puzzles and a pen are a nice touch!
7. Writing desk or table. Space may be an issue with a writing desk. If you do not have room for a desk, add a chair near a bedside table.
8. Hardwood floors can look and feel cold. Add warmth with a rug at the foot of the bed.
9. Toiletries (fresh towels, kleenex, shampoo, lotions, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.) should be displayed and available in the nearest bathroom.

Enjoy your company!

  3. What a gorgeous room! I want to come visit you and be your guest! We usually offer our guests the inflatable mattress in the living room. Looks like i need to make a few upgrades for our guests!

  5. Wow, that is such a beautiful layout. I wish my own bedroom was that amazing. We don't even have a bed for company to stay in nor a room. We have the living room that we clear out and blow up an air mattress. We aren't as fancy as most.

  11. Not our style but some of the pieces you chose are gorgeous (love the curtains and the night table -the one with the flowers). We have an extra room in the house which was supposed to be my office but my boys stole and it is now their playroom....it was also supposed to be the guest room. Oh well, one of these days I guess :)

  14. We always try to add little touches to our guest room. We attend a library book sale twice a year and always look for books that our usual guests would enjoy. Sometimes we'll add bottles of water and snacks to a tray we leave on the bed.

  15. That is so beautiful and clean looking - I'd be so frightened that it would get soiled quickly. Our guest room has very dark bedding (navy/gray) so that stains are visibly minimal.
