For many people, when they are looking at jewelry to use for their engagement or wedding, the traditional choices of gold or silver seem to be the most popular. These two particular precious metals do make good choices for settings for diamonds for an engagement ring or for wedding bands. In recent years, other metals have begun to be introduced to provide people with greater options and different looks. One such metal, that has come to be quite popular recently, is palladium. While people may not be familiar with palladium, palladium wedding bands can provide you with a great option for something different and beautiful.

Learning about Palladium

Palladium is a precious metal that was first discovered in the early 1800s. It is a silver-white color and like other precious metals the crude ore must go through a long process in order to be refined into a usable product. It is considered a precious commodity just like gold or silver and it is very often used in the making of coins, bullion, and jewelry. Some people consider it to be similar in look to platinum and it does have some similar properties, such as being resistant to corrosion. Palladium is also considered to be hypoallergenic as it will not cause any type of reaction if you have sensitive skin. This makes it an ideal alternative to those that cannot wear gold or silver. All of these characteristics have helped to make palladium a popular choice today for rings and jewelry. If you are interested in palladium jewelry and want to see the options available to you, look at the products available from Union Diamond.

A Different Look with Newer Styles

The best place for you to look for palladium engagement and wedding rings is going to be on the Internet. While the items may be available in some jewelry stores, since brick and mortar stores tend to have more limited space to display and inventory items they do not often carry a large line of palladium products. Internet jewelers can have greater quantities for sale since they are not as limited in space. You can find many different rings that make use of palladium and in a wider variety of styles. People have begun to turn to palladium as the metal of choice because it tends to be much lighter than metals like platinum and gold and it also costs less than either of these metals, providing you with more affordable options for your rings.

Union Diamond offers a great range of jewelry that uses palladium so that you are able to find just what you are looking for. You can choose from among the rings, necklaces, pendants, earrings and other pieces for sale in just the style or design that you want. The staff at Union Diamond is also happy to answer any questions you may have regarding palladium and why it can make such a great option for you. You may find that palladium becomes your metal of choice when it comes to jewelry.

  7. Wow, I was amazed at the first ring on this blog, and than I looked at the rest. Those are beautiful settings. I am not sensitive to any metals, and don't mind wearing "gold" color and "silver" color together.

  10. I looked into palladium for my engagement ring. It is a touch more durable than white gold, and it doesn't require re dipping. I work as a bartender and quickly learned how scratched up and dinged a white gold ring becomes.
