Do you want that healthy summer glow all year long? Well, Pixi Beauty sent me a collection of amazing products that will help to keep my skin looking great as we head into the harsh fall and winter months ahead. Below is a summary of what I thought of each of the items and I must say, I've found some new favorite beauty must haves! Take a look:
Nourishing Cleansing Balm. Oh my! This ultra luxurious almond-scented balm to oil cleanser melts away makeup and feels amazing on my skin! I smooth the balm over my skin and remove with a warm wash cloth. I tried using a tissue, but a warm wash cloth works so much better. It's like a mini facial and is packed with skin-hydrating almond oil, shea butter and vitamin E. It feels truly awesome on my skin and if you suffer with dry skin like I do, you will definitely want to try this! Yes. It is a wee-bit pricey at $22, but a little balm goes a long way.
Pixi Beauty Glow Tonic. I don't usually use a toner, so when I first tried this for the sole purpose of reviewing it, I was surprised that I found myself continuing to use it daily. Glow Tonic contains a 5% Glyolic Acid formula that gently exfoliates my skin and also contains skin calming Aloe Vera and Ginseng. My skin is super sensitive so after cleansing my skin I apply the tonic with a lightly-soaked cotton ball and sweep it gently over my face.
Skintreats Rose Oil Blend. I apply this nourishing face oil to my skin both morning and night. In the morning, I use it in combination with a light moisturizer and it works well as a base for my foundation and makeup. At nighttime, I use it with my nightly serum to give my skin a boost of hydration. The oil has a light and delicious scent. It feels soft and luxurious on my skin. Beauty Blush Duo & Kabuki. It's all about the glow with this blush duo! The peach honey blush is warm and as the name implies, it's a sweet peachy color. In the photo below, I applied the highlighter using my ring finger and dabbed a small amount along the top of my cheekbones. I followed with lightly picking up blush onto the Kabuki brush, dabbing off any excess, and applying it to the apples of my cheeks - blending and brushing out toward my ears. (Beauty tip: Make a fishy/pucker face when applying blush for a more natural look.) I blended the duo together with soft, repetitive brush strokes to achieve a natural glow.
LipLift Max Gloss in Petal Ice. This is absolutely crazy. I have tried lip plumpers that cost double the price of LipLift Max and I can honestly tell you that I prefer this lip treatment over other lip plumpers. LipLift Max is a thicker, sticky formula and the Petal Ice color is a very sheer pink tint that won't change the color of your lips and will not change your favorite lipstick color should you choose to layer your lipstick with gloss. Now, what makes this gloss unique is that I feel a slight cool and minty tingling sensation, but it is not as strong as other lip plumpers I've tried. However, LipLift Max hydrates my lips better than the other lip plumpers I've used in the past. I'm not sure if that is why it works better on my lips?
Now you know how to get that glow!
